Frame Post Operations and Jigs

Frame Post Operations and Jigs

A few of the fabrication operations on the UHMW frames need to be done manually. Lacking the tooling for creating a small enough through hole #10 plastite screws was an issue. For these smaller screw holes 3d printed jigs are utilized to align a drill bit so that the frames will still remain accurate.

The Weapon Rails need two additional manual operations at the drill press. Two holes, for mounting the front forks, need to be added to accept #10 platite screws. These holes will be undersized to allow for a very snug fit. A 0.125” drill bit will be used for fork mounts. The Gearbox plates need four holes manually added that need to accept a #6 plastite screw.
