Push Broom Wall Mount
Design and CAD
The handle on the broom in question is 28mm in diameter. A sketch is created to make the profile of the circular holder and base that is attached to the wall.
Two additional lines are added, creating a 135 degree angle for the broom to be inserted into the holder.
The sketch is extruded to 75mm to form the initial rough body of the wall holder.
A new sketch is created to add the mounting holes.
The mounting holes are extruded through the body of the wall hanger.
Fillets are added to the outer corners and under the circular holder.
Fillets are added to soften the additional edges. The base edges are passed over for fillets since it will be butted up against a wall.
A chamfer is added to the screw holes to allow for clearance of the #6 1-1/2” drywall screws.
Slicing and Printing
This is a pretty simple part and doesn’t require supports to print. It should be printed vertically to avoid splitting the layer lines when inserting the broom. ABS filament will be utilized for the broom wall hanger.
