    MRCA Finals 2022

For the MRCA finals I volunteered to judge instead of participate. I handed the controller of Pulse off to Cj. My day started off by getting to the venue around 7:30AM and lending a hand with finalizing the setup. Participants started getting in around 8:00. Most were prepared, with many people having multiple working copies of their bots. In addition to judging I also handled weigh-ins and safety checks. These lasted from 8:30 to about 10. There were a few failsafe issues and a couple of bots that were slightly overweight, but everything was worked out before the competition started. Between the two brackets and grudge matches, I judged around 100 fights. Most fights ended in a knock-out or were fairly decisive, but there were also quite a few close calls. I had prepared two bots for Cj to utilize through out the day, but due to time restraints she was only able to utilize one of the bots. The second bot had some gremlins that needed to be sorted out and was not able to be ran. It was used for spare parts as the primary bot took damage.
